About the artwork
This artwork is inspired by The Kiss by Gustav Klimt and reinterprets the iconic composition through the story of Attack on Titan, with Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman taking the place of Klimt’s embracing couple.

The piece brings together several symbolic elements from their story. Eren’s final Titan form looms in the background, contrasting the peaceful embrace with the fate and destruction surrounding them. The white bird represents freedom, release, and Eren’s presence after death, while the blue flowers symbolize remembrance and loss.

Together, these elements capture the contrast at the heart of Eren and Mikasa’s story: love and loss, intimacy and violence, and the life they were never able to share.
